Adopt a Hospital

for Lupus Awareness Month and beyond.

We are asking members to 'Adopt a Hospital' for Lupus Awareness Month and beyond by ordering the Display Board and Leaflets for display in their local hospital, rheumatology/lupus clinic. We would encourage members to keep in touch with these locations and ensure that the stand is always on display and there is a sufficient supply of leaflets. Please also try to get some of these boards located in your local shops, libraries, bookstores and any other location. Each board comes with a supply of leaflets so stand it up, insert the leaflets - and it just might be a good idea to ask first.

Let's ensure lupus awareness is all year round!

This year's challenge for Lupus Awareness Month will give members the chance to host a Lunch4Lupus during October, with your family and friends. The guests, instead of bringing a traditional party gift, will be invited to make a donation to LUPUS UK.

The host will receive invitations to send to their guests together with donation forms and some helpful hints on hosting a successful event.

If lunch isn't possible, members can host a coffee morning or go the 'full monty' and really impress their guests by hosting a dinner party. Ideally we would ask members to host their event during October but if that's not possible, pick a time convenient to you.

The key is to make it a fun event and quality time with your family and friends while supporting your charity. You can always add to fundraising by holding raffles, auctions or party games with fines. Whatever you feel is most appropriate.

Hosts of LUPUS UK's Lunch4Lupus event must agree to the following:

I acknowledge that I am undertaking my Lunch4Lupus at my own risk and cost and that LUPUS UK shall not be liable in any way for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of my organisation of my Lunch4Lupus. I understand that LUPUS UK cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury from my Lunch4Lupus.

I acknowledge that LUPUS UK reserve the right to ask me to cease fundraising in aid of LUPUS UK should they consider its interests, good name or reputation to be threatened or likely to be threatened in any way as a result of my fundraising activities.

I agree to pay all proceeds of my Lunch4Lupus to LUPUS UK (as soon as practical).
